About Me.
Hello, My name is Rhiannon Heim and I have been a teacher for four years. I began my career in School District 85- Vancouver Island North in 2016. I started work as a TTOC teaching all grades and subject areas before teaching both temporarly and continually as a Grade 4-7 teacher in the remote community of Port Alice. In my third year of teaching, in addition to teaching Math, Science, ADST, French, and Career Ed, I was also the Learning Assistance Teacher. In this role, I was case manager for eight students and helped design and implement "Joyful Literacy" interventions for primary students, and also designed and taught a modified curriculum for a Grade 9 student with special needs. When I am not teaching, I love to spend my time with my family. My favorite activities include: music, camping, swimming, hiking, gardening, and cooking.
